As a Registered Dental Hygienist for 35 years, it's a great experience practicing with Dr. Montane for 18 years. It is rewarding having patients motivated to improve their oral health. We have wonderful patients, some have bonded like family over the years. I focus on providing a safe, comfortable environment for our patients. Clinically, I start by checking health histories to check for general health concerns. I take digital x-rays, apply sealants for children, apply local anesthetic for deep cleanings (Root Planning) or Oraqix Gel (topical anesthetic), which is a numbing solution instead of an injection and is sufficient in most cases. I take intra-oral photos and evaluate for oral health and pathology that aids Dr. Montane in his diagnosis.
Away from work, I love family time with my 3 adult 'kids' and 2 grandkids, Andrew and Alexzandrea. I love music, movies and Baseball; cheering for the S.F. Giants and Andrew at his Baseball Games.
